 The Mafic lava has low viscosity which means it likes to flow.

 The Felsic lava has high viscosity which means it doesn't like to flow.

Why are we studying this term? How does this term apply to any of our class labs or the real world?

 This vocab word reltes to the class room discusion on volcanos. The viscosity of the magma depends on what kind of magma it is and each magma has its own viscosity level.
