Unbalanced forces

         An unbalanced force occurs when the net force acting on an object is obove or below 0.

                                                              Examples:

          Some examples of unbalanced forces are, for example, a child trying to pull the television remote away from her older brother. Becauce the older brother pulls with a greater force than the younger sibling, the brother can easily pull the remote away. This causes an unbalanced force. 

      Another example of an unbalanced force is when you pull your sheets over your body at night. your pulling force on the sheets is more than the sheets resisting your pull, so, the net force is positive towards you.

                 We have experienced unbalanced forces in all the labs we have done before. in the bottle rockets, the upward force produced by the ground is stronger than the downward thrust of the rocket which causes the positive net force. this, in turn, causes the rocket to travel in the upwards direction.
