Definition: The process by which a gas, liquid, or solid is dispersed homogeneously in a gas, liquid, or solid without chemical change.

 

 A solution is a homogeneous mixture with two or more substances. The particles in a solution are thourhly dissolved and the same throughout. An example would be soda, wihich all the ingredients dissolve together.

In our class we learned acgout the elements and how the form different types of matter. Since everything is made of matter, it is important to know each specific phase of it. In our class we did one activity were we had to classify different foods or house hold items into groups. the groups were solution, suspension, and colloids. If you don't know what any of those meant you wouldn't be able to do the activity.
