The word revolve meens the orbiting of one around another body which is what our solar system is doing constantly all the time. Our moon is also constantly revolving around the Earth. So our solar system is always revolving around planets, the sun and other moons. You can remember the word revolve by thinking of the revolutionary war when there was "the shot heard around the world." Get it? The shot was revolving around the world during the revolutionary war

 We are studying this term so we can understand what our planet is doing all the time when it orbits around the sun. We should understand this word because you may somtime be tested on the movment of our solar system and one of the questions could be, "What is the word that meens one body orbiting around another."
