ALSO BECAUSE THE MAGNETOSPHERE CONTAINS THE COSMINC RADIATION BELTS WHICH HELP US FROM BIENG HARMED BY THE SOLAR WIND. IF WE DIDN'T HAVE OUR MAGNETOSPERE THE SOLAR WINDS WOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE CONTACT WITH EARTHS SURFACE WHICH COULD CAUSE US TO GET NOT ONLY SKIN CANCER BUT ALL OTHER TYPES OF CANCER TOO. BASICLY THERE WOULD BE NO WAY TO HAVE LIFE ON EARTH. ANOTHER REASON TO KNOW ABOUT THIS IS BECAUSE EARTH AND MERCURY ARE THE ONLY 2 PLANETS IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEMS THAT HAVE MAGNETOSPHERES, SO THAT IS ANOTHER REASON TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION FOR LIVING ON MARS OR THE MOON.
