Definition: Lift is the force that opposes an object dirctly. It is generated from an object that is solid moving through a liquid.

Lift is an areodynamical force that is generated from the object in which it is opposing. Lift is also a vector quantity because it has both a magnitude and a direction involved with it. This force is involved with rockets, airplanes, helecopters, and any other aircraft.

We started studying this when we tested our Water Bottle Rocket lab in the first semester. We have also been talking about it as we have studied rockets and did our Human and Rocketry Flight Reasesrch project.
