Definition: The energy of an object while in motion.

 

 

(Kinetic energy is) the energy that a moving object has due to its motion, or the energy of motion. Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by an object because of its motion. All moving objects have kinetic energy. The amount of kinetic energy depends upon the mass and speed of the object. A roller coaster car has a lot of kinetic energy if it is moving fast and has a lot of mass.

This term applies to the Air Rocket Car by when it moves with the balloon power. After the potential energy is depleted, kinetic energy takes place. Kinetic energy is the movement of the object. When an object is moving, kinetic energy is in occurance. This can also be called kinetic friction.
