Facts, Details and Examples
Impact crators can also be created by nuclear bombs. They could also have ejecta rays or ejecta aprons. Rays are straight and aprons are all wiggly and wobbly. Over 150 craters have been studied here on Earth. But no one really knows how many total craters there are. There is one crater in Winslow, Arizona, but it wasn't created by a meteor, it was created by a nuclear bomb!

In class we have been studying impact craters. In our reading packet we have been identifying the impact craters, volcanoes, river beds, and canyons. If we find layers in the impact craters and there is sedimentary rock in the layers we know that there was once water on Mars. Also if we find geramite we'll know that there had to be water on Mars because geramite is only made by water. We are also looking for life on Mars. So if we find water or once to be water there is a great chance that there could have been possible life on Mars.
