wiki Word:FLAMMABILITY

PRONOUNCIATION   ˌfla-mə-ˈbi-lə-tē

Definition:Flammability is the ease in which a substance will ignite, causing fire or combustion

The vapour pressure is an important parameter in

determining the ease of ignition. The higher the vapour

pressure, the more flammable vapour is evolved from a free

liquid surface at a given temperature.  Some flammable

liquids are gasoline, ethanol, and diesel.   The flash point

below 100 °F (38 °C) are considered potential work

hazards.  Water and sodium silocate are not flammable

liquids.

SO WHAT????

This word is important because it helps us determine wheather or not an object has a high reactivity or a low reactivity and that can help scientist determine wheather the substance is eaither a solid, liquid, or gas at melting point, and boiling point.
