Definition: A constellation is a group of stars that can be connected together to make a picture.

 

Arguably the most remeberable constellation is the Big Dipper. The Big Dipper is a picture of a Big Spoon like shape.Constellations are totally imaginary things that could make anything that you wanted it to make. Just like if you looked at a cloud.The first constellations were named after Greek Gods of Mythology, for example their is:Hercules, Perseus,and Orion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The reason that this word is important is because we are

studying space and constellations are in space. Also we are watching movies that are talking a lot about stars like VY Canis Majoris. THe whole point of constellations are to point out where other stars are in our solar system.
