Definition: Relative atomic mass and Atomic weight is an average of all an element's isotopes' mass, according to abundance.

Basically, to find relative atomic mass, you do each (stable)isotope's mass x the percent of abundance in decimal form, add them all together to find the relative/average atomic mass.

 

 

SO WHAT??? SECTION: Why are we studying this term? Why do you need to understand this word to be sucessful in science? How does this term apply to any of our class labs or the real world?
